4th Assignment:
Start the video at 3:05, and practice singing these parts for memory with tall vowels, consonants, and the beautiful singing tone like in the video:
1. Chorus - everyone singing together
"Ezekiel cried, "Dem Dry bones...O hear the word of the Lord".
2. Chorus - 2 part split
Part 1 -
"Bones, dem bones, Ezekiel....O hear the Word of the Lord"
Part 2 -
(same chorus as before)
3. Verse 1 - Build the bones UP with a crescendo, body movement, and sing the correct notes with this choir. They perform it exactly how it should be.
4. Chorus 2 - 2 part split with snaps and sway
Part 1 - Main melody
Part 2 - Harmony (move down and then up)
Make your snaps and sways look exactly like these kids do - we will work out the counts on Thursday.
5. "Crazy Bones" section review (we practiced this once, so please review this part!)
Part 1 - say "toe bone", "hip bone", "thumb bone", "shoulder bone", "jaw bone", "nose bone", "arm bone", and "craaaazy bones" in that order, and switching back and forth with part 2 (you will hear it in the video)
Part 2 - say all of the "Dem Bones", "Dem Dry__ Bones", and "Dem Craaazy Bones"
Then STOP!
Practice these parts for up to 20 minutes or only as much as you need to.
